Melody is a member of one of the five tribes of animal shapeshifters who live beyond the human domain. These people have the ability to shapeshift into particular animals when they come of age in their tribe, attending something called the Ceremony.
When given the chance to escape from her family, she jumps for it, spiraling into a world of mystery, danger, and unexpected surprises.
But unknown to her, the spirits of the underworld have broken loose, and are tracking her every step. Why they want her, she has yet to know. But she will soon.
Friends become enemies and families are reunited only to be broken apart. Whether she survives will be up to her companions as they race to right a world that has fallen drastically out of balance.

After much debate, I decided to discontinue this second book and series. I love the world and I built and the characters with all my heart but the writing is incredibly outdated and the plot progression is all over the place. I may reuse these characters in the future, but this series has come to an end. I'm sorry to the people who wished to see the story continue, but I hope you'll be able to join me on future fantastical journies once I have time to write more!
