Part two of The Darkness Ignited.
Andy and Lauren left The Mutant Underground to look for answers six months ago. They went to New Orleans to find answers about their family and their powers. Mia has been looking for them, following leads for months. John's been helping her to keep distracting himself from his grief. He was still mourning Clarise but he was getting through it, slowly. Esme found happiness with Leah, she was still trying to find her place in the Underground but she was getting through it. Lorna and Marcos missed their daughter, they wanted to be with her but they couldn't, not yet.
Jace Turner was still looking for The Mutant Underground. He was so close to finding them. He was on Andy and Lauren's trail. It was only a matter of time before he found them. The Inner Circle was quiet, too quiet. They were up to something, The Underground just couldn't figure out what.

"There was no way out, no way to save myself and no one to save me." It's been twenty five years since The Electroclan retired and went their separate ways. Some of the members kept in touch and told their children about their adventures, some did not. Some of the glows had children, and others didn't. Michael and Taylor did. Emily Vey, the youngest daughter of Taylor and Michael, is powerless unlike her two older twin brothers, Ethan and Jacob Vey. Ethan was gifted with the power of electrical teleportation while Jacob got electrical flight. The only thing is, none if the children know why. Michael and Taylor, fearing for their children's safety, had never told them anything about The Electroclan or how their sons got their powers. It was their parents intent to keep the in the dark for their entire lives. Then, one day, an old friend showed up at the Vey's house and informed them that The Elgen, which they had shut down more than twenty five years ago, had come back from dormancy. The three siblings, wanting to find out more about this Elgen place and stop them like their parents once did, run after the old company. There, they meet old Electroclan members, some of the old glows and even some new glows; the children of the original ones. But what that they find out about The Elgen, Jacob and Ethan's powers, their parents, and even Emily is a truth none of them could have ever imagined. With new enemies and even newer friends, a new Electroclan must be formed to save the world once again from the return of a power from twenty five years ago. "Mom said that we would make a new underground. I just didn't see how that was possible, but somehow we did. The only problem was that we were all wanted fugitives..." This is a story that is about what I think would have happened if Blink never came through her portal at the end of the show. There are new characters, interesting storylines, and many character arcs. After everything, the Mutant Underground has been through somehow it is still up and running. Andy and Lauren are struggling to deal with everything that has happened. Their powers keep malfunctioning. Lorna's stressed, how does someone put a nationwide group back together? Mia and Josh got found out by Sentinel Services. They were found by the Mutant Underground only by chance. Esme is trying to be good, making friends, helping out, but is it enough? New challenges are faced every day. The Inner Circle is still up and running and they are trying to take the underground down in new ways all the time. The Purifiers are still attacking mutants at an increasing rate. Sentinel Services was hunting Mutants and they were getting closer and closer to the Underground.
