Growing up Athena was always the odd one out. The black sheep. She avoided seeing many people as she was an empath. She hated the way she new how others felt how the voices never did seem to leave her head. Now her and her sister bloom are attending Alfea a college for fairy's.

Bloom has just started her school year at Alfea when she is told by headmistress Faragonda that she has been expelled for a whole year. The evil trixs set Bloom up by making everyone believe that she was the cause of a "prank" that damaged Alfea. But not wanting to go back to earth her friends come up with the idea for Bloom to be enrolled into a nearby school so that the friends could stay together. But there is one problem the two nearby schools are Cloud Tower, a school for witches and Red Fountain, an all-boys school. Not wanting to go to the same school with the witches that got her expelled, her friends help her disguise as a boy and be enrolled in Red Fountain.
