The perks of being socially awkward - or something like that...

'So, I'll do it, if Rain doesn't mind?'

Rain shook her head. He looked at me, awaiting my answer.

'You're serious?' I asked. Smith nodded. 'No, thanks though.'

He looked at me as if I were crazy. 'How are you going to "have a mindfreakingblowing first kiss" then?' he asked, 'You do realize that the first kisses are rarely "mindfreakingblowing", right?'

I looked at him. 'Yes, I know that,' I answered. All attention was on me now, so I decided to continue, 'I want a kiss with someone who likes me for me. Who's not in love with my best friend or sister, who doesn't secretly picture that he's kissing another person,' I had closed my eyes at this point, 'I want something romantic, but not overdo, someth - ' The set of lips on my mouth made it impossible to continue talking. And, for just a second, I thought that it was Smith kissing me.

But it was not.

That sort of thing does not happen to Caroline. See, being socially awkward and blessed with three best friends who are extremely much prettier than you are, does not give you the popularity you would think.
But will that change when Caroline gets paired with the new guy in Spanish class?
