Having grown up in a strict fundamentalist household, Isabella played the part she was expected to for nearly her entire life. Determined to be the perfect Christian, she did everything she was told she had to, including marrying and submitting to the self-described perfect Christian man, no matter what he did, all the while pushing down the feeling in her heart that she was different than the person she was forcing herself to be.
