When disaster struck, the Government decided to build a dome, heavily reinforced and away from harm. This was gauranteed to keep the people safe, the only problem - the dome was too small and the entire population of the city could not have fit inside all together. Their solution was to give priority to the more "important" people of the city, such as people who held titles, owned largely known companies or people with significant occupations in rebuilding the city. These people were granted safety and access to the dome, but their families? They were left behind to burn along with the world when the meteors soar through the Earth's atmosphere with their dreadfully glorious tails of fire.

ALYX is one of the teenagers selected and given access to the dome, because of her analytical and calculative mind. But her family and her friends were not chosen. Will she leave them behind?
