The world has been filled magical creatures and animals since the beginning of history. Though they now may be out of reach, they are still there. And as long magical creatures and humans have lived together, there have been the people tasked with protecting them. These are the mages. 100 years ago, all of them disappeared. Kyle Perkins arrived in San Fuente, his hometown, a week after his grandfather died. His plan was to get to their house, take what he wanted to keep, scrap the rest and sell it. But before he could reach his only destination, he was attacked by multiple things he was told to be fake. Just like that his life is turned around as he's plunged into a supernatural world he didn't know existed, where myth is more accurate than he thought. There are new rules and unbelievable skills to learn, and not a lot of time to do it. Because Kyle is being hunted by people he hasn't even met.
