Endeavor Biotech is the biggest and most important biotechnology company of Japan.

Katsuki is a 24 years old genetic engineer. He has been working for Endeavor Biotech ever since he got his degree and his team is one of the three working on the Yūtopia project.
After two years of research, hard work and a couple failed attempt, Katsuki's team finally achieve their first results and create their perfect human hybrid: Project 04.

Project 04 is the chimera they've been trying to create all along.
Shōto is the name the team chose for the 6 years old looking child gifted with extraordinary intelligence.
Although the tests are giving extraordinary results, a problem emerge quickly: the entire team got attached to the child.
As a result, when the first accident occurs, they try to hide it to protect the child, ignoring the established procedures.
The news leaks anyway and Project 04 is deemed no longer valuable and safe, hence it's placed on hold until further evaluation to decide if it has to be terminated.

Right when things get complicated, Katsuki end up in a bad car crash that leaves him bedridden and forces him to seek his childhood friend's help, leading to a series of unexpected events.

The moment Izuku steps into the lab, his life is bound to intertwine with the child's one.
