Tangled Lives

Sakura Haruno grew up hearing stories of the sea. Her grandfather told her about people who set out to find a treasure called the "One Piece". He told her of a pirate who hid the treasure and declared that if someone found it, then they would become King of the Pirates.

She heard of the adventures of Portgas D. Ace. Her grandfather told her of Monkey D. Luffy. Of a little boy named Sabo who wanted so badly to become a pirate but died at a young age. She was told of the love the brothers had for each other.

A pirate named Whitebeard helped Ace and took him in as part of his crew.

There were times her grandfather expressed sadness at the end of each tale. He described everything in so much detail. As if he were there himself.

What if her grandfather's stories were true? What happens when years later Sakura is transported to another universe? To a time before Ace's death.
