This is a simple short story (about 1500 words). I have been in the outlining stage for my novel the past few months, and I needed to brush the dust off my writing skills and did a character exploration exercise. *This piece is just writing practice and will not be part of the actual book.* This story features my main character, Evie, going about her business, but I'm excited for you to meet her nonetheless. Hang out with us while Evie makes coffee and paints.
Like I said, I am trying to refine my writing skills so please leave constructive feedback. This probably needs one more draft before I call it complete so tell me what you honestly like and don't like. Also, I have always used past tense when writing, but I want to use present tense in this novel, so please let me know if I accidentally left something is in the wrong tense during editing.
