One year has passed since the fateful fall of The Ministry for Magic. A new wizarding order has risen to claim it's place under the gnarled claws of the dark lord Voldemort, and the united kingdom is now blanketed in evil.

Draco Malfoy has since twisted into an unrecognizably malevolent version of himself, of the belief that his only love and newlywed wife, Madeleine, perished in a tragic incident. Time, and his sinister duties as a death eater, have driven him to the delicate practice of 𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - locking away fragments of memories and fragile emotions associated with her.

However, this sordid strategy comes with a steep price when a miracle unveils itself; 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲.

After spending months trapped with the resistance, kept in a comatose state, she cannot recall anything of her past with Draco. Convinced now that he is an enemy to be feared, tensions have never been higher between them.

Despite the fact that neither possess a complete grasp of the affection they once shared, nor who they themselves once were, Madeleine must resume her duties as his wife - whether she likes it or not.

He's a regrettably barbarous, pureblood, Slytherin heir; 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, unavailable, and that's the way he'd prefer it to remain. Draco Malfoy has much more important, particularly insidious business to attend to, rather than waste time worrying about altering the course of an already pre-determined marriage. No sense in lingering on an emotional connection with any witch deemed fit for the deplorable role, when one has a serpent's fangs buried deep in their skin, releasing venom at an alarming rate... Unfortunately for him (and for her), Madeleine Desrosiers cannot be reasoned with, and she has her golden eyes locked squarely on one wizard only. This hazardous enchantress is a terrifically stubborn French Beauxbatons transfer student with little knowledge about Hogwarts, a terribly inconvenient Parisian dialect, and a knack for touching things that definitely do 𝗻𝗼𝘁 belong to her. Finding herself drawn to him despite his inhospitable charm, Madeleine shall ultimately become the grand architect of her own personal prison. Sudden and involuntary bequeathment to the Malfoy family shield was definitely not the game plan. She is inevitably drawn deeper into a world darker than she'd ever imagined, and in order to navigate the shadows of her new apocalyptic life, she must discover the gift of 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲. ☙ Book Two: Obliviation ❧ ☙ Book Three: Aftermath ❧ ☙ Book Four: Supremacy ❧
