"Do you ever think about the future?" I reply, perceiving a soft hum right beside me. Looking up to find the person I wanted to hear from. The man I love the most in this moment.
"The future with you and me relaxing in our beautiful home as we listen to the sound of our fireplace." His voice's lace with a thick Irish accent I never thought was sexy until he came along.
I merely listen to the sound of his voice as he continues to spew out a nonexistent future. "Listen, if I need to quit my job because you think I'm going around sleeping-"
I cut him off as I place my lips onto his, feeling a soft nudge below my abdomen. I pull away before sinking back into the overwhelming, white bubbles.
How am I going to tell him, that future he sees is just make believe? How will I tell Harvey, when I have to leave him again?
