"Perseus Agnostos Jackson. Pleasure to meet you. There must be a reason why you are changing the events of time, huh? I won't ask, but I still know it's important. If you are back in time, Heracles and Perseus aren't here, then things are certainly going to go down."

With that she stepped back, but only a little bit. They were still pretty close to each other. The green mist now was up to her neck.

"How did you-" Perseus started to say, but she cut him off.

"Beware of changing the events of time, Percy. There will be consequences. If you don't pay up for them, someone else will."

Before he could say anything else, she was swallowed by the green mist. They were back in the real world. Perseus looked around, confused as ever. His eyes caught hers one last time. She didn't smile. She whispered something, and somehow he could hear it even if she was all the way at the end of the row of stalls.

"Good luck."

'Glancing to her left, feeling the seat next to her shifting, Persephone's eyes locked onto the side profile of a boy. Black, curly hair, pointed ears, tongue sticking out in concentration of whatever he was fiddling with in his hands. Feeling her gaze, he turned to her, seeing her awake and grinned. His grin immediately told Persephone that the little Latino was not to be trusted with anything sharp or pointy or potentially dangerous. - "Child of lightening, beware the earth, The giants' revenge the eight shall birth, The forge and the dove shall break the cage, And death unleash through Hera's rage, Death shall meet her enemy soon, The curse she lands may be her doom." - Leo saw the fear in her eyes, as she stared at him. His heart stopped, wanting nothing more than to comfort her, but knowing they didn't have the time for it. "Come on, stay close to me, you'll be fine." He told her, pulling her up, wrapping a hand around her wrist and sprinting off in the direction of the warehouse. - "I wish someone looked at me the way Jason looks at Piper." She muttered to herself, not meaning for Leo to hear. He furrowed his eyebrows. "What makes you so sure someone doesn't already look at you like that?" - Persephone reached for Leo's hand, vision swimming. "It burns." She told him. His façade started to crack. Persephone loved seeing the son of Hephaestus happy, but this was the complete opposite. His expression was crestfallen, eyes pained. He entwined her fingers with his, clutching her hand tightly. A stray tear fell. ***I'm back. I know it's been two years. But I'm back. Officially not on hold anymore!! (I'm so sorry) *** Some people keep secrets to protect others. Some people lie to do the same. The victims always say they would rather hear the truth, the buried secrets, than be lied to. Because that's betrayal, isn't it? But what if the reasons for lies and secrets are necessary to protect those from themselves? What if, by telling a truth, one creates room FOR betrayal? What if the truth hurts more than the lie? *** It had never crossed Clarianna Sinclair's mind that her entire life might have been a lie. Sure, the gods didn't have a squeaky clean reputation, but she didn't think whatever they were hiding from her would be THAT bad. It was that bad. Worse, actually. And the thing was, the truth did hurt more than the lie. Because the prophecy revealed to her on the darkest day of the year was dark as hell and just as confusing. Half a year later, she still hadn't unravelled it. All she knew was that it was about her, the war, and the ominous promise of a last shadow. *** Luke knew that the truth hurt. It always did. But he also knew head one was the only way to face it. He also knew that betrayal was just part of the human character, and everyone betrayed and was betrayed eventually. Promises were made to be broken, after all. But he still wasn't prepared for it. He didn't expect it to come from the one person he thought he could trust. She had left him. Without a word, even after everything they'd gone through together. Without her, he was adrift in the vast sea with no tether to shore. No one other than the titan down in the pit, who, he was beginning to think, had been a mistake. A terrible mistake. But there was nothing he could do about it now, not when he was this deep, and certainly not when she wasn't here. Little did he know that, even when she came back, she wouldn't be the same girl who had left him.

Percy Jackson, Son of Chaos

31 parts Complete

Percy is betrayed when Nick Waters, a son of Poseidon and Percy's half brother, comes to camp. Loyalties are tested and enemies are made. Sally abandons him to start a mortal family. Even with the friends he still has, Percy decides to leave the place he is unwanted. He is summoned on Olympus and accused of things he didn't do. Some believe him but most are just eager to get rid of him. But when will they learn, you can't get rid of Percy that easy. He is met with some gods and the creator himself, who gives him a chance to go back in time and relive his life but not as a son of Poseidon but a son of Chaos. What will Percy find in the new timeline? Friendship? Love? But one things for sure, he will definitely have his revenge on those who wronged and shun him. I own nothing except the OCS and plot. PJO belongs to Rick Riordan.
