The narrator gets on a plane to visit her father, even though they don't have the best relationship. She ends up sitting next to a friendly girl on 18A, who tells her she's the daughter of the captain and that they had gotten in a fight, but she wants to make up with him. Then she tries to convince the narrator that she should make up with her father too. In this short story, the narrator learns from the girl in 18A a very simple, but important lesson.

Mayas flight to London got delayed for 24 hours. stuck at the airport in Germany and With most of the hotels booked her only option was to either stay at the airport and get some sleep on those hard plastic chairs. So, instead of being stuck at the airport knowing she's going to miss her cousins wedding. Maya decided to get to the train station. With no destination in mind. As she tries to figure out how the train tickets system works, a young man approaches her. While two make conversation the train arrives. passengers got on and off the train, and the young man walked backwards towards the doors of the train. "So, let's make some memories." He suggested, holding out his hand for her to take. "Is it still a no?" He asked, his voice was deep yet soft at the same time. "Hard and cold." "Oh, come on, Lou! Live a little. I can be your tour guide and show you around town. It'll be fun!"
