Conan Gray is a shy boy who's slowly falling apart because of an extremely intense unrequited love. Thomas Miller seems to be utterly oblivious of his friend's feelings but they manage to make the friendship work anyway. At least until Miller spots Heather Williams for the first time and his world is turned upside down by the new girl.
Conan struggles to cope with his friend's decisions and he can't even stand to look at the happy couple. Is love really worth that much trouble? Is he giving in to self-pity or is there something worth fighting for there? Will he ever be good enough to take Heather's place?

He is trying hard to become a little selfless and hopes to live a little more for himself rather than others. He is struggling from a brutal loss and trying to navigate his life through the mess. When a text from a very mysterious high school acquaintance pops up, he takes the chance to explore his depths and distract himself.
