Life in Mystic Falls has always been filled with tragedy. 

Tragedy and the supernatural. 

Supernatural has been in her blood her whole life. She wasn't one of the lucky ones, the ones purely blind to the horrors and wonders the supernatural world holds. She understood, and from a very young age, she was taught to defend herself. Her father said she was blessed with gifts, but she has only ever seen them as curses. But she honed them for her own safety, the safety of others.

She lived a normal life in the background with the supernatural plague of her life. But life can come crashing down at any moment, and hers certainly did. But it was the bonds of friendship that bounced her back, that kept her fighting, kept her alive.

Her curses only grow with the arrival of the big bad Originals. The fight of her life is just beginning. 

The line between right and wrong has never been more blurred in her life. Torn between her friends and the fate of a soulmate, her own internal battles become a reality. 

City Thomas, a soul filled with loss, has rejected the idea of love.

But then again, Klaus Mikaelson, a body riddled with tragedy has never been loved. 

She's stuck, body and soul, in a world she wishes she could leave.
