"Why does it seem like you hate me so much?" Noah asked, still focused on the popcorn machine. I gave him a skeptical look. "Maybe," I started. "it's because I do." He kept his gaze on the popcorn machine and chuckled. "I think we both know that's full of shit." *** Working at the Cambridge Theater was a hard job. Not only do I have to serve so many customers, or watch all the couples make out in the movie theater, or try to fix the popcorn machine. But I have to work with Noah Carson. I hated him. He was an arrogant bastard. He always found a way to annoy the crap out of me. Notice all the past tense. | © charlotte twenty-fourteen |

"Always go with the choice that scares you the most, because that is the one that is going to require the most of you." -Caroline Myss He scowled and put a finger up to my lips. "Mallie," he whispered, "listen to me. You and only you are the girl that matters to me the most in this world, ok? There's no one else I want to be with, no one else that makes me feel the way you do. You are my world, and I'm going to fight for you until the end. Don't ever forget that." _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Have you ever had to make a choice? A choice that decides, not only your future, but the future of those around you? Mallie never thought she'd have to choose. She never thought she'd have to choose to see the one person she cared about suffer before her eyes everyday and not be able to do anything about it. People shouldn't have to make those kinds of choices, but she did. And the strange thing was... she didn't regret a minute of it.
