Her parents are the nicest people. Her father didn't deserve to lose his wife, and his wife certainly didn't deserve to lose her life, either. 
She's always had a problem with being careful. You see, she's probably the clumsiest person on earth. 
It sure helped when one day her mother came back to life, and her clumsy tendencies suddenly disappeared.
