"It's a shame," the man in the tattered cape muttered as he pinned his neck against the damp stone wall, "you would've made a fine king with your wealthy fortune and looks, but, as they say, all good things must come to an end."
The prince in the crisp overcoat's eyes were widely displayed with fear of what this ominous man could do to him. Scratching his blunt nails against the horned man's wrist, gripping the prince's neck with talon's sharper than his father's quill, he screamed in agony as the nails penetrated his skin even deeper than before.
"Please, please!" the prince pleaded, "I promise I'll-"
Shooting up from his satin sheets, struggling to gasp out "It was just a dream, thank god." His eyes travelled to his shaking hands, he grasped his wrist trying to even out his staggered breathing, failing to notice the luminous red eyes peering from his window.
