1. what the hell Dungeons and Dragons is about,
2. how to play it (as soon as possible) and
3. where to still their hunger for even more information about this awesome game!
(The cover is designed to look like an official D&D resource book. Nevertheless, there is no link to Wizards of the Coast. I created it myself, so you could perhaps call it a "fan cover".)
The picture I used for the cover was drawn by marvellous Julie Dillon (juliedillon). She is so famous, she even has her own wikipedia page!

Ophelia Alastair used to be a Nobel and betrothed to the one and only Percival De Rolo. But then the Briarwoods came and not only took away Percy's family, but hers as well, causing the two to be lost from each other. 8 years later after the attacks from the Briarwoods and Ophelia works as a solo mercenary until she goes to Sovereign Uriel to answer the flyers they put out only to be met with Vox Machina and her old betrothed. A RANGER IS BORN
First off, this story was not written by me. I am posting it for a friend of mine, with permission of course. This took place in a Dungeons & Dragons game over 30 years ago. It is a about how one of the player characters got his start; Crentar Bronn. He is a human ranger of 1st level in this story. This is important to note, because it'll bring more perspective as you read the story. I was the DM (Dungeon Master) for this game. At the time, we were still in high school, which of course, gives away our age. lol I decided to have each character do it solo before they actually met up with each other. A teaser so-to-speak. Eventually, there was five player characters in the game. My friend who ran Crentar Bronn remembers this whole solo adventure to this very day in great detail. A few years after the game is when he wrote this story. We were recently reminiscing about 'old times' and he told me that he actually wrote it out as a story. He was then able to find it on an old hard drive & then sent it to me. I was very surprised at how good this is & how great his memory was from that adventure. I'm flattered that he was so inspired by it, that he turned it into a story! I hope you enjoy this early adventure of Crentar Bronn as much as we did. Perhaps, with enough comments & likes, he'll be inspired to write more chapters. THX

He soon realizes how important Kara is, that she is also very powerful and as her magic keeps growing so do the hoards of rouge vampires that fallow her. He would sacrifice it all to keep her and the future of his kind safe, but can she allow that? Live to save a race by letting thousands of worriers die in a war or die fighting a war that has been following her since birth? This is a small collection of stories for two D&D characters I made to live in the Exandria universe for a friend's campaign. Basil's story went to Strixhaven and Alfur ended up as an NPC in a separate story.
