Lillian and her brother, Charlie, have been pranking each other for as long as they can remember.
One day Charlie enlists the help of one of his best friends, Harry, twin to a boy that has loved Lily from a distance, since they were little children, Macauley.
But what sets out to be a meaningless prank turns out to hurt Lillian a lot more than intended.
Now Macauley has to try and fix Lillian and prove to her that he's not like his brother and that she chose the wrong twin. Can Macauley do it? Or was Lily ever broken in the first place.
"I could just jump. Just take one single step right off the edge. Everything would be easier, better off without me. You would be better off without me.
Would it hurt to die, Mac? Would you be the last face I see, or voice I hear, before everything just disappears?
And as I fall, would I hear symphonies? Or screaming."
"I looked down at the pavement, my untied shoelaces sprawled out on the pavement like the girl I had been dancing with only ten minutes ago, in front of me."
