Twitterpated: (adjective) love-struck
"I'm absolutely love-struck. Absolutely. Twitterpated."
Leah Matthews has always done better with the misunderstood. She was overlooked her whole life. By peers. By professors. By professionals. Until she meets Lillian James. Granted, Lillian is four years old, but she is her new boss. Okay, not her technically her boss, but her job depends on her Lillian liking her. Lillian is misunderstood by society, and that makes her the perfect little thing in Leah's eyes. But just for once, Leah wants to be the perfect thing in someone else's eyes.
Carson James lives and breaths football. And friends. And family. Probably in that order. Maybe family before friends, but ever since Lillian was born, he's not sure where he fits in with his family. Carson wants to be the perfect man the fans have made him out to be, but, between football and life and Lillian's diagnosis, he finds himself stuck between shitty older brother and sure-thing for the Hall of Fame.
Maybe it was Lillian that brought them together. Maybe it was fate.
Either way, Lillian James is one hell of a matchmaker.
Zack is the big man on campus. The first string quarterback and captain of the world famous UCLA Bruins Football team. He loves his life: football, parties, popularity, booze, blondes, boobs and repeat. His pretty boy looks, amazing body and charisma grasp the attention of pretty much everyone at UCLA. He's never had a problem with getting girls... meaning they throw themselves at him and he happily accepts. In other words he's a Manwhore. And that's all he needs. That is until he meets Jade.
After being cheated on by her douchebag boyfriend during her sophomore year, Jade decides that she's had enough of being walked all over like a doormat. Over the summer alongside her best friend and roommate Aaliyah she realises that with enough confidence and self-love nothing else matters. Or... just fake it 'til you make it.
She's always been the 'quiet girl' but she's determined for junior year to be different. Jade decides to be more independent and to not need anyone else other than herself. That is until she meets Zack.
