6 different kids who live in California. They left home to see if they will survive in the harsh world(we all have a sense of adventure). Left to survive when they find a portal to a dimension to an alternative dimension of California. Mystical creatures roam in place of humans. They are guided by a pumpkin man named Jack L. Pumpkinator who is an apparent outlaw for illegal items. As he tries to make sure the kids never find out.
