OK so this is a bellxriveria story with a few twists from different tv shows, movies, anime and other stuff. I'll most likely be revealing some stuff on the lore of this particular timeline through out the story but here are a few things you should know before reading so that the story makes sense:
1. Bell will have a younger brother named Mica they will be both raised in a border village between Rakia and the Elven kingdom of Marijwa.
2. since I had the idea of this before season 3(danmachi) came out, the minor character laurier will be a lowborn elf and will not be apart of the Hermes Familia
3. my gramma and spelling wont be perfect(I Apologise) and I put it on mature because I'm honestly not sure of what I'm making this into, not sure if there'll be lemon moments or if its just a mature story  also idk if I'm going to finish this I'm just trying to contribute to the small fandom that is bellxriveriaAll Rights Reserved

This is the first time I've written a story like this, however I feel that I should explain some plot points since I did try to stick as close to the anime canon as possible but there are a few things I'd like to clear up first. This story starts at the fall of Wall Maria from your perspective as a young girl who lived in the Shiganshina district, I'll leave the age unspecified if I can but at the end she will definitely be over 18 years old. This story is about y/n's backstory and how it affects her relationship with Zenitsu. It is a very VERY slow moving story but once it starts moving, it picks up very fast (around chapter 3). It shows that, even though you both are facing challenges, you can still work through them to become better. I will try to upload once a week. (Zenitsu makes his first appearance in chapter 8. Chapter 1-7 is just backstory and training but I do suggest that you read it because it literally makes everything make so much more sense and gives everything so much more meaning). The chapters are very very short, the shortest being about 400 words long and the longest being 5,000 words long. Most of the stories are a little over 1,000 words long. NGL I have over 40 chapters scheduled so you guys are good until at least July lmao. Just be a little patient at the beginning and it gets really interesting! Thank you for reading! So, this is my take on a what if scenario that I saw on Fanfiction originally. What if Bell had remained in Orario with his mother and ended up forming the Erebus Familia with Alfia and Zard. Also most things in this story my be subject to change depending on the eventual path I choose. Bell is 13 because he was born 5 years before Zeus and Hera set off to complete the three Great Quests. There will be obvious similarities as I based the first portion of it. However it should become apparent that there are significant differences in the stories by the end. I got a little more to add to this scene but I wanted to get it out because it had been bugging me as a writer. Also A Light Amidst the Darkness will be my primary focus for a while. So please only expect infrequent updates to this one for now. I also haven't thought out the beyond this introduction. I have ideas but no set narrative yet. This story is complete, though incomplete. For elaboration, I have completed it how I wanted it, in the sense of me working and chipping away at it to get it printed off for my father to read, seeing as he wanted to read, edit, and attempt to get it published (He had called a publishing company the other day about it). Incomplete in the sense that I don't have all the scenes I really want now more than I did when I was in the process of writing it. For example, in the previous chapter one, there was a small scene that had Aaren, Travis, Loyd, Scott, Gabe, and Xander fighting in Lord Sylvie's house. I had changed it so that they moved outside, seeing as I imagined Sylvie's house as a small, quaint house, so it would only make sense that they all fought OUTSIDE instead of INSIDE. Also incomplete in the sense that I strongly dislike the way I wrote it. I've gotten some 'inspiration' from my dad about (spoiler) killing her in the end, so I came back to change it before we went into really editing the pages (grammar, spelling, etc). That's all I really wanted to communicate with you guys, so if you remember something specific about the previous book, I changed it because I disliked how it wrote it. Bell spent his whole life with his grandfather being told stories about heroes saving people and what it meant to he a hero and a man. Life was great until two great tragedies happened to him that forever changed his life. When he was only 9 years old he met his first God, but this God hated him for his grandfather and cursed by said God with a something that was akin to both a gift and a curse. His grandfather later returned home and found him on the ground withering in pain, while holding his bleeding shoulder that had a nasty bite mark on it. Seeing this, his grandfather promised him that he will give him something to drink to suppress the curse the God gave him, but even that only could do so much and the rest depended on Bells mental state to keep it under lock. The second tragedy was a couple years later, his grandfather died while out in the mountains and they could never find his body. After that Bell left his home village and went to Orario to begin his life as an adventurer and hero, like his grandfather always told him stories about. He struggled for a long time to find a Familia, but one day he did find a goddess who took him in, regardless of how weak he was or his curse. This is the beginning of Bells journey to he a hero and adventurer along with getting revenge against the God who cursed him.
