Seventeen-year-old  Ahmir Evans starts his senior year in Chicago after moving from his hometown to get a fresh start. Things happened in his life that caused a setback, but now he just wants to start over. Ahmir walks into Claremont High not knowing what to expect. That is when he meets Isaiah Lozano. He quickly begins to flourish and undeniable attraction; but what he doesn't know is things are far more complicated than he thinks.

"I'm not even looking at you." I mumble.

"Exactly," He taunts me.

I turn to him when the silence between us was getting too thick. It's like we were playing chess, and I knew it was my turn. I kept my eyes on his beautiful golden circles that could welcome an abyss of pain and beauty all at the same time. I didn't know whether to run for my life or  stay and find out more.

"Much better." He says to me.

Working him for hours upon hours with a private teacher until he became the most well-known dancer in the dance world. Even taking modeling jobs. Soon dancing no longer felt like a fun activity to pursue. It felt like a duty and always a competition.
