Ivy's family had died from a severe car crash leaving her alone in a orphanage, which she despises, but the is a silver lining to it when she meets her new friend Dalilah.  Ivy then meets someone very unexpected and tells her that he is her godfather and that her father owned one of the largest mafia's and mafia academy's in the world.

 She then is forced to go with him to his academy where teens are trained to fight to be in the Mafia, and in this academy everyone has a combat partner they work with throughout their whole high school lives. 

They can't pick their partners so Ivy isn't happy about not only not being paired with Dalilah but  being paired with the arrogant boy named Luca.
