A young adventurer from the shadow of the Grostag Mountains of Abrotan, Jaime Birdwhistle, sets out on a summon from the king to slay a beast. He (or she, in her case) who brings back the monster's head shall be knighted and lord over the area it haunts.
However, when Jaime finds the monster, she realizes that the two of them have far more in common than she previously believed.
What happens when the knight sets out to save maiden from monster... and finds out that maiden and monster are one in the same?
