I know Linstead is gone and won't be back, but I'm still a fan of the two together, so I'm writing this fanfiction. I hope you enjoy reading and maybe give me some feedback. I don't own any of the original PD characters, they're all belonging to Dick Wolf.

** I do not own the character of Erin Lindsay ** It had been almost two years since Erin put Chicago in her rear view and never looked back. She had a career with the FBI, a new life and she was happy. And then she received a phone call... The past was calling. And she had no choice but to answer. Viewer discretion is advised. Drugs, sex, violence and adult language.

They once promised to always have each other's back but destiny does not always go as planned. Now almost four years later, each one living their life in a different state, fate forces them to work together. How will this end for them? How are they going to deal with this reunion and the feelings of years ago? Can they overcome the past? Can they at least become friends again?

This is a story where Erin and Jay get to know each other differently. Jay has just come back from Afghanistan and Erin is working in the Intelligence Unit. The two get to know each other through a random event and maybe more will develop from it. I do not own any of the original characters!

The story begins after the season finale of the fourth season, so to speak my story starts off as the beginning of the fifth season. Erin left Chicago as a consequence of what she did. Jay is devastated that Erin left him without saying goodbye and nobody can cheer him up but life has to go on. I will just go into the past / childhood of both of them a bit, as there are still many things about them that are not known. I do not own any of the original characters!
