This story takes place outside of gravity falls, Dipper and Bill have never met, and nothing is weird about gravity falls. Dipper is writing in the whole Gravity Falls series to help him cope with some mellow trama. Bill's family moved to gravity falls in a hope to get away from Bill's crazy father, Bill and Dipper meet, they bond, and slowly grow closer together.
