What were you doing when the apocalypse started?
    
    Like the idiot he is, Warren was hiking, and without a home to go back to, he had no choice but to keep going. With the help of his friend and some survivors he meets along the way, he'll make the journey to the rumored safe haven that invites all people seeking refuge. 
    
    All he has to do is avoid dangerous day-dwelling monsters, not trust that he's safe anywhere, not get killed, and not let the only person he has left get killed. Easy enough, right? 
    
    Wrong. Dead wrong.

    This is my entry for the 2021 Open Novella Contest,  and it's based on these prompts:
    
    52. The day it started raining venomous spiders, we knew we were in trouble.
    53. When wildlife starts rampaging, all the humans are forced underground. However, they come to a terrible discovery that being underground is no safer than being on the surface. (This is the main plot, but it is stretched throughout the book)
