The flyer asked for a "Ginger Baker type" drummer, but what Smile was really looking for was the next addition to Tim's new "project." After a day of unimpressive auditions, the band was starting to lose hope - that is, until Roger Taylor walked in. He took both Tim's and Brian's breaths away with his performance, and even more so, his appearance, charming his way into the band and, unfortunately, their hearts.
A year goes by, and while the band's preparing for their first studio session, Brian goes missing. He won't answer any calls, and his neighbors haven't seen him in weeks. While Tim seems unbothered by it, brushing off Roger's concerns, the drummer can't help but worry and eventually finds himself in a situation he can't get out of-the same one as Brian.

Roger had seemed to dig himself into a hole it's hard to plop himself out of. Firstly he discovers the fact of himself being gay, then pressure is forced down on him only leaving him to cry unbearable tears, and then he starts to have a crush on his best friend, Brian. Brian wasn't gay for all Roger knew, how could he stop liking Brian? Go into complete solitude from him? After Freddie's unsuccessful suicide attempt his life is falling apart and nothing seems to be going right. He gets in an unhealthy relationship and he is absolutely crushed. Until John saves him. --- The story has a lot of parts but it's not that long, I aim for 300 words per part so that's why there are so many. Warning: There could be some depressing things, alcohol, and drugs in this fanfic. If you struggle with reading that I wouldn't recommend reading this fanfic. We date the year 1975. The band Queen is recording their fourth album 'A Night at the Opera' in an outback farm where fun and parties are sadly no option for the boys. Boredom, however, doesn't seem to get to them as many things are going on between them, especially between Brian May, the guitarist and Roger Taylor, the drummer. Brian, as shy as he is, suddenly experiences strange feelings he had never felt before. At least not to this extent. This is a MAYLOR fan fic and should not be taken seriously at all!
