The Black Stallion Series. His dam was pure blood Arabian but his sire wasn't. But his granddaughter told me the story of his sire, the golden stallion, Ziyadah, which meant suberb in speed. But soon after he was weaned from his dam, whose name she did not give me...the yearling escaped and ran wild in the mountains before Abu's men caught Ziyadah....about a year later. Then, a few months later, he sired the Black on the mare Jinah Al-Tayr. He escaped again this time taking the Black with him. It was almost a year later before they tracked both horses down, and then they only managed to catch the young colt...the Black.

I opened the door only to see dozens of police cars in front of the house and that terrifying black truck. I quickly closed the door and looked at the three of them. Rebecca turned and looked at her son and husband. "I had to call. If they traced her back to us they could kill us." Derrek said looking at his mother. "Ahsha if you come out now no one will be hurt. You have my word." I heard him speak with ease. I looked down at Nasir and I knew I couldn't go on the run with an infant. I couldn't let Rebecca or her family get hurt because of me. I sighed kissing Nasir forehead before opening the door. "Ahsha?" I glanced back at Rebecca. "We'll be okay," I said giving her a reassuring nod before stepping outside to face the man who against my better judgment still held my heart. He walked towards me stopping just a few feet in front of me. He stared into my eyes and I watched as they shifted between green and black before they rested on black.
