Elaina finds herself joining the Company of Thorin under unfortunate, or fortunate, circumstances, depending on the person answering. With a painful past and shrouded in questions that the Company can't seem to find the answers, it becomes quickly apparent that not everything is completely normal with their newest member. The question is, what?
This story loosely follows the plot of the three movies, and features a budding romance between Elaina and Bofur, our favorite flute-wielding, hat-wearing dwarf, and mysteries waiting to be uncovered.
