As a kid shoto's mom sighed him and is sister fuyumi up for figure skating lessons. his sister didnt want to do it alone and Rei thought it would be fun. when Enji finds out he was pissed and demanded that shoto quits. he said he did but had his mom keep taking him since he enjoyed it but Enji found out and wasnt to nice to Rei. Shoto's mom took him to all the competition when he started competing and he soon got up the ranks fast and by 1st year of high school he was in the top 10 junior league figure skaters in japan.
