I wrote a short story for my English teacher as an assignment and I though I'd share it here. It's about a two girls who get sucked through a portal at the top of an abandoned staircase and end up in some sort of cursed wonderland. The girl who's narrating the story slowly turns evil and power hungry and at the end, she's too far gone and lets her best friend be beheaded. The story shows how people can be blinded by power and do things against their better judgement.

Before you know it, he's got you pinned against a tree while his bare chest presses against your back. He traps both your wrists easily in one hand above your head. "Caught you, my mate." Without knowing, bad Dreamers came inside her house and kidnapped her friends. 8 of the bad Dreamers, were unlucky and was killed by Cayenne's magical powers. To Cayenne's shock, humans were not supposed to have such powers; she was the legend the website said, Infinity. Some of her friends were left and the Royal Dreamers came for the search party. Who started this war and will she get her friends back and find Energy to create the pathway connecting to the human world and the Dream world?
