A recent report published in Nature depicts that there is a flow of groundwater into the oceans. This report can be one of the essential elements to understand the ecosystem in a better way. However, some scientific fraternity members believe that this groundwater discharge will hardly bring any mutation in ocean chemistry, considering its volume. But, it is essential and vital to understand what happens in the vicinity and nearby areas of the discharge. In this article, we will discuss the study more in detail and what are the changes it will bring in the oceanic and littoral zones.
