After a war that nearly destroyed humanity those left were saved by unlikely heroes, the deities they'd once forgotten. These deities created two new species of human to fight the monsters they'd awoken; Mage's who were tasked with ensuring the remaining humans kept faith in the Gods keeping them on Earth and keeping them from finding out about the monsters in their world and Hunters whose job it was to protect them all.
Rhena Moretti is a Hunter from a long line of Hunters. Just like those before her she attends St. Ecne's Academy where she's been trained in all the ways possible to kill a monster. She thought she knew it all, but as it get's closer to graduation she's beginning to wonder if she ever knew anything at all.

Worlds. It's something that no one questions, where they're from, that is. They all think that they are all from earth, but Kila knows better. The stones can see deep into your heart and understand what you are thinking; they can tell darkness from light and will only obey you if they take a liking to you. Many people of this world are going to war over the stones and are using them to fight. So when a human is directed to him for help in taking her to Calladon his first reaction is to sneer at her and tell her no. But all is not as it seems.
