The 40s were booming with expansion. Metaphorically with the stock market boom and entrepreneurship on the rise, so we're young talents who figuratively wanted more than what their small town held. And with more than enough dreams to fill the moon, the Great Migration to rural Louisiana was just that, a dream in the making. However, it was no doubt there would be an increase in territory control, crime and injustice. Follow the story of Marietta Turnhill, LeAndrea Collins and Symona Williams as they learn while digging from the soil to superstardom, All things that glitter ain't gold.

NOTE: THIS IS A SEQUEL TO EYES ON US STORY! PLEASE READ BOOK ONE FIRST BEFORE READING THIS ONE. STORY ARE FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 𝗘𝗬𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗡 𝗨𝗦... It's easy to love someone when things are perfect and everything's wonderful. But, to love someone when things are difficult, when they're not being perfect, when they're messing up, flaws are seen, mistakes are made...that's what really allow you to see how much love there is really. Anyone can love someone who doing and saying all the right things, being everything you want and need, when they're got it all together and it all figured it out. But, to love someone at their lowest, to love someone despite how broken they feel, when they're lost, when you're willing to stand by them no matter how challenging or difficult things may be, that kind of love is a lot more beautiful. That kind of love is a lot more meaningful. Thank you for loving me both times when things are good and bad, up and down. Thank you for taking in every aspect and part of me, accepting my flaws, forgiving my mistakes and helping me become the best version of me. 06/26/2021-02/19/2022 Rankings: #181 in black 9/16/2021 #2 in blackcharacters 9/16/2021 #570 in urban 9/16/2021 #20 in urbannovel 9/16/2021 #3 in blackstory 9/16/2021

"With him it wasn't about the material shit, or the money. He captured my heart with his..." Growing up in the care of her grandmother because her mom was unfit, Anastasia saw the harsh realities of the 'hood' life. Being a mixed breed of black and Dominican descent, all the boys had their eyes on her. Anastasia only saw one person, the good boy, Jason. Jason had his fair share of turmoil. With a mother battling addiction and a hustling big brother who washed his hands of the situation, he had to figure things out on his own. Football was Jason's everything and way out of the hood, but when the bills start piling and his mom spiraling out of control, Jason is forced to make a decision that alters not only his life, but the lives of the ones he love as well. Sometimes love is a dangerous thing, we'd do anything to protect the ones we love. If each moment meant nothing and the relationship was a fling, Why'd You Call It Love?
