Hermione wakes up in a mental hospital and is told she has been in there for the past 9 years, ever since she had a seizure on her 11th birthday, causing her to create an entire false reality in her head that she has been acting out since. She starts to lose hope and believes that she really is mental - and that the everything she experienced at Hogwarts was all in her head. It isn't until she accidentally meets a familiar blonde, who is in there for the exact same reason that she starts to realize that there is more to her story.
