Nicholas Gardener was always easy to forget about. He kept to himself with his head down and earplugs in. The most he talked is when he had to with his professor. But that changed when he attempted suicide at an abandoned manor a month ago - or at least that's what everyone thinks happened. He obviously wanted everything to go back to normal, but Ken wouldn't let him. Ken had made it his mission to befriend Nick no matter what, but he ended up learning things he never expected about Nick, his connection to the Stanford Manor, and the disturbing history that's burnt into its walls.

Born To Lose (Frerard) 2.0
There was nothing. Nobody. Just an empty graveyard. But...he knew for certain he had heard someone walk up behind him. What the fuck is going on? Before he could settle his heart rate, a voice spoke. It rang out clearly in the snowy area around him but it also seemed to echo tenfold in his own mind, "Find him. Save him." Haunted
The dead typically want one of two things. Ghosts crave conversation. Spirits seek pain. My name is Bria, and I've been able to interact with the dead for as long as I can remember. Communicating with the deceased might sound like a cool gift, but let me assure you, it's not. Ghosts don't shut up, and not all specters are friendly. In fact, most of them are dangerous. Pretending the paranormal doesn't exist is far easier than talking to the shadows, so I've been avoiding the dead for years. Past experiences have led me to avoid the living too. And for a long time, I've successfully kept my distance. Until a single ghost encounter in the library ruins everything. Now a couple of my classmates know my secret. But as it turns out, they have a deadly secret of their own. Time to talk to the shadows again. _______________ This story contains profanity and violence. [ONC 2021 Shortlister]Complete

Lenora's Grimoire
Cherish thought she'd escaped her past years ago--settled down in some forgotten, sleepy town, gotten a steady job at the local library, and subtly hidden the witchcraft books donated from the local covens from the public. Cherish Harmond was wrong. Her cedar tree had screamed at her before dying on her front lawn that morning. Cherish hadn't even realized trees could scream. Faced with the desperate plea for help from a stranger, the past she thought she had successfully outrun has returned, and she must come to terms with it, to use her powers for good--because if she doesn't, she might unleash a curse onto her sleepy, normal hometown forever. **Submission for ONC 2021 ***Please note, this is also available on Amazon via ebook and paperback***Complete
The House At The End Of Yellow Brooke Street
An eerie silence echoed through the house at the end of Yellow Brooke Street, the wind outside slammed toward the wooden walls making a whistle inside the house from the cracked windows; the front door made a thud each time it slammed toward the wall and the screams from the dead gave the house an uneasiness to it. I stood before the house, while my friends were excited to do the exact opposite of what our parents told us to; I was not. I trusted my mother when she told us to never get close to this place. "You guys ready?" Diana said with joy in her voice, I stuttered. "No.." the fear in my voice was obvious, though no one seemed to care. Dan glanced at me and chuckled. "Really? It's just a house." "It's a haunted house." I said nervously. "Maybe we should trust our parents on this, they told us that it isn't safe for a reason." "You wimp." Diana joked, she wasn't serious; it was just to get me with them and of course she knew that it would work. "It's fine if you don't want to Luna." Lucas said, at least he was cool about it. "I-I'm not a wimp!" I stumbled on my words. "Yey!" Diana said happily and rushed toward me with her arms open. "I'll buy you McDonalds after this." I hugged her, even though I wasn't happy. I looked at the time. 12.20amComplete
