This is a short story about a normal family trip in the African Savannah, that turned into a rush for civilization. This story is based on a real event, and has been modified to protect the identities of those involved. It's a real life good Samaritan story, featuring an act of kindness that truly saved someone's life. 
This was written for the southwest contest.
