28 year-old Summer Willhite, Chicago Police. Just recently transferred to district 21, intelligence unit. Sergeant Hank Voight isn't happy with the transfer as he didn't authorise it.
Summer's past starts to catch up with her, and stab her in the back.
Will she be able to cope?
Will she finally get the murderer of her younger sister from 13 years ago?
