What happened after Danganronpa V3? With the line between lies and truth, between fiction and fact, blurred beyond recognition, the only way to move forward is to choose something to believe in. Were they able to successfully change the world and stop the killing game? Did they fail, rendering their numerous sacrifices meaningless? Or is the truth something else entirely? Does it even matter?
For the survivors, it's bad enough, but what about those who thought they'd died? Those who hadn't expected to wake up again. Those who hadn't expected to live long enough to suffer the consequences of what they had done to survive. How will they use this unexpected second chance?

Ever since, they've been living together in a strange new world where their old memories are next to meaningless.
