A/N: This is the updated version of FYD <3 Y/n L/n was your average college student before the world went to shit. She lived in Atlanta with her childhood friend, Glenn, and had never once left the city after she had moved there, apart from the occasional visit to see her Mother, whom was hospitalised in another state. However, the end of the world changed that, forcing her to leave the city and wander the highway. Permanently. When the city was overrun, she was separated from Glenn and forced to flee the city, which she hadn't left for years. With no idea where to go or what to do, she simply wandered down the highway. And though she may have been a city kid, she was far from useless. She was used to fighting for her life and she was used to being alone, so to say the very least, she could handle whatever the end of the world threw at her. Equipped with her trusted bow, Lucy, and her fathers vintage revolver, she was ready for anything. Dead or otherwise. A few months after the 'End', Y/n eventually came across a lost little girl, and a group of survivors hurled up on a farm. She never was a people person and never got along too well with others, but she couldn't just abandon the girl. Would she find a home in this group? Would they become family? Or was she doomed to wander alone? Would she ever reunite with Glenn? Her family? And would she and a certain redneck ever get along? UPDATES: DAILY. This is a fem!reader fic, but you can ignore gender if you like<3 Hopefully, you'll enjoy the story! If there's any mistakes let me know. And just enjoy!<33 NOTE: Obviously all characters belong to the walking dead, apart from any oc's or storylines I may add!

Then, she sees it-the explosion at Terminus, fire licking at the sky. In the chaos, she catches a glimpse of them. Rick Grimes' group. Survivors. Fighters. People. For the first time in years, she follows. Tracks them to Alexandria. She tells herself it's just for supplies. A place to rest. But the truth is, she's desperate. She's tired of surviving. She wants to belong. Now, weeks into life inside the walls, she's struggling to find her place. To them, she's just another survivor. A stranger. But she knows the truth can't stay buried forever.
