After the war, Harry distances himself from everyone, feeling empty. He spends a year having locked himself up in Grimmuald Place, consumed with guilt. When he's finally drawn from his Godfather's, now his, home by the Weasleys, Hermione appears at his front door with urgent and unsettling news. Harry realizes the hidden horrors of his years at Hogwarts and, together, Harry and his friends formulate a plan to level the playing field. Though, when it inevitably all goes sideways, Death reveals himself to Harry and offers him a once in a lifetime opportunity. Will he take it? -- WARNINGS: 1. Y/n comes back to Hogwarts for her 5th year. Over the summer she had been anticipating an old friend to come find her, however her hope had been futile. Over the next year, will she still be waiting for him? Will she instead want nothing to do with him or embrace the path she chose? ________________________ Harry Potter with a (female) reader insert. It's based off the movies, not the books. It will be in the third person but follows the reader's pov, if you know what I mean.
