“After a long search, he was faced with the horrible truth. His memories had been erased. A terrible uneasiness set inside of him; as well as thousands of unanswered questions. Pushing away those thoughts, he focused on the task at hand. He had to leave, before someone else came to investigate.”

A lost mech, with lost intentions.
“Neutral… for now anyways.”
“But you saved them. You can’t be a Decepticon.”

Lost thoughts, lost origin.
“No insignia in sight.”
“A faint remembrance of a war with Autobots and Decepticons.”

He felt lost.
“I still remember Cybertron and the war, but I can’t remember which side I was on.”
“I could be deceiving myself when I say I’m an Autobot, and you.”

He even looked lost.
“Invisible… but how?”
“My first kill… or not.”

But he knows one thing for certain.
“I just know I have to protect it.”
“A cube…. On one of the six sides of the cube, was an engravement in blue. The single Cybertronian word pulsed its glow as the mech’s optics stared at it in wonder. As soon as he read the word, he knew what it was. It was his designation.”

“I am Mirage.”

A Betrayed Cause for Another

8 parts Ongoing Mature

In war, nobody really wins. The true objective is to lose less people and of what you are fighting for than your opponent. And the natives of Cybertron learned this the hard way. After centuries of civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons, the remaining survivors of each side have regrouped on Earth to turn the tide against each other on this new world. But not all Cybertronians pick a side. For (C/n), he serves only himself. After losing his vision and loyalty to the Decepticons, he now sets out to find a new reason to live as he unwittingly crashes on earth. Will he remain in his mercenary ways after getting dragged into the war again? Or will the Autobots give him something he never really had in the Decepticons: a choice?
