Philippine mythology is the body of myths, tales, and superstitions held by Filipinos, mostly originating from beliefs held during the pre-Hispanic era. Some of these beliefs stem from pre-Christian religion that was specially influenced by the Hinduism and were regarded by the Spanish as "myth" and "superstition" in an effort to de-legitimize precolonial faith by replacing those native beliefs with colonial Catholic Christian myths and superstitions. Today, some of these precolonial beliefs are still held by Filipinos, especially in the provinces. Filipino myth is incorporated from various sources, having similarities with Indonesian and Malay myths, as well as Christian traditions, such as the notion of Heaven (kaluwalhatian, kalangitan, kamurawayan), Hell (impiyerno, kasamaan), and the human soul (kaluluwa). Filipino mythology attempts to explain the nature of the world through the lives and actions of gods, goddesses, heroes, and mythological creatures. The Lure -- a white stone-like crystal that glows under the submission of a linked mythical creature. Knowing this stone alone made ASEAN realize how this specific item can be misused really badly. Trying to find for it however, ASEAN would have found himself stuck inside a narrative between siblings, and childhood friends that can be broken due to trying to be perfect, and perfect alone. ----- !! A lowly writer wants to change his life for the better, but prior to that he writes a short story about a dragon destroying a village, but is eventually slayed by a dragon. the writer sleeps, but the next time we see him he is integrated inside the setting of the story he wrote, with the village transformed into a contemporary fictional Filipino city, with a long history about a dragon killing half the city, with its survivors making up the existing population, and a prophesy of the city's salvation from the dragon's "creator". this story is a grand exploration of the complex relationships between history, science, religion, trauma, on a city as a playing field between its inhabitants and their creator.

This is my own version of an old myth. A re-telling of an old folklore. Names of the characters remain the same as that of the original version, but I have tweaked the events and descriptions a bit to fit my style of storytelling. This is a story of unselfish love between Sidapa (the god of death), and the boy Bulan (the moon god). It was handed down from generation to generation by word of mouth... somehow withstanding the rigid teachings, and indoctrination, of several colonizers who tried to erase all ideas and beliefs that did not conform to their own religion and way of life. This myth is a proof that long before my country was discovered, the people here already had a working government, a set of rules, a method of teaching. Allow me to whisk you away to a fantasy world where love was ardent, pure, and unending.
