After a mysterious outbreak, the Southern Land of China is infested with the living dead. Shen Yu flees to the bamboo forest with her sister and guardian where they build a community, surviving off wildlife, cutting them off from civilization. 

For years, they protect their village until the Northern Land sends their warriors to seek cure from the Fountain of Miracle in the enchanted forest. Shen Yu meets arrogant but charming General Wang Zhou who leads the team on the mission. She finds it difficult to trust him. 

What if they break their promise to help the Southerners? Will they use the power of the fountain to control the kingdom? Despite political feuds and differences, they must work together to find cure for humankind.
