The sounds of the emptiness and devoid slowly surrounded him, drowning out the alarms. He was trapped.. alone.. doomed.
Seb sat down on the floor, slumped over as he drew many heavy breaths. His vision began to fade, as the sounds of screeching alarms returned to him.
Two protogens are sent out on a space faring mission with others of their kind. Their position is a high rank amongst their field of work, and they are sent out with great expectations. Over their voyage, the two are forced to get comfortable with each other, and begin to form a friendship, before it turns into a rivalry from an unfortunate turn of events. The two are torn with each other, until disaster strikes and they are forced to work together in order to save themselves. Their combined efforts to get out of the big mess they caused will become something that will change their lives significantly.

Barry's life
Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people.
