'He walks in and the door slowly starts closing. It's now or never. I run in after him and slip in just before the door closes with a satisfying clunk. The staircase is dark and gloomy and every step I take makes a squeak. I carefully remove my trainers, leaving them in a corner in the dark, and start descending down the stairs. I am faced with a large busy room. People in uniforms are bustling about everywhere, shouting instructions at other people. Some are carrying needles and others paperwork. The walls look like they are made out of metal and the room gives off a creepy feeling. There are large tubes pumping wires full of blueish liquid and large plastic containers everywhere. I notice that the tubes are running to a large see-through container that seems to glow but I can't get a very good look at it. I see the bald man walking towards a corner at the end of the room and I know I have to try and follow him or I will never figure out what's going on in this strange place.' The Endgame War has destroyed the earth and most people are gone. But some towns have managed to live life in a jungle and become their own secret tribe. And when a tribe member is given the opportunity to go back in time and fix everything but risk losing her loved ones, will she take it or will her stubbornness get the better of her? When she discovers a sinister plan and that the one person she trusts is helping it, will she stop it or will she be the one to cause the end of the world? I will try to post a new part every Saturday. The photos in the cover are not mine, I just edited them together.

"The jungle encircles a golden network of lights bright enough to match the moon, a megacity bigger than London, taller than New York. It stretches out below us, its silver light screaming out of every inch and orifice. I can see palaces with their spires fashioned in the style of claws, skyscrapers corkscrew into the sky like drill picks jutting from the centre of the earth. Dotted around these are blue pyramids made of something that burns the eye, shops, warehouses, halls, walls and things that twist the brain and bewitch the eye, towers summited with beacons of frozen light, every building seems an architectural impossibility built from this bronze matter. A stone path of painted gold snakes its way around impassable stalactites tipped with silver snow and slowly makes its way across the forest on its path to the city. I stand a figure on the edge of this, less than an ant against the background of an Olympus." Victor is stranded in a world gone mad. Now edited and completed! This is a story that will soon be printed in a collaborative novel of short stories. Its been tough but it is finally done. Having said that please critique this to high heaven reviews are always appreciated :).
